Loughton Baptist Church

Accessibility Information

Access to church is via a set of steps, however, there is also a ramp from the car park to the front door.

Entry to the car park is via a barrier entry system.  A temporary code can be obtained in advance from the church office.

Parking on site is very limited.  There is one designated disabled parking bay at the base of the ramp.  When attending church activities further parking on the same level can be reserved in advance by email or phone via the church office.

Non church run events may have some restrictions on parking availability so please contact the event organisers to confirm.

If travelling by public transport please be aware that the buses travelling from London (20, 397) stop at Upper Park approximately 0.2 of a mile from the church.  The buses travelling towards London stop in front of the church.  The nearest Tube station is Loughton which is an up hill walk of 0.3 of a mile.

Inside the church we have two blocks of toilets each with a disabled cubicle. Both blocks are accessible via double doors so please ask for assistance if required.

The Hall, lounge and rear of the church are all accessible on a level floor.  The main worship area has a small step down.  Wheelchairs can be positioned at the rear of the worship area or to the side avoiding the step.

The main Worship area seating is on cushioned pews.  We do have alternative seating which can be provided including chairs with armrests.

Please note we do not currently have a hearing loop.

If you have specific requirements when visiting our church please do contact us and we will do what we can to meet your needs.
